Curriculum
The curriculum used will be similar to the curricula used at United States Medical Schools.
A curriculum needs to be based on the needs of the job. Also, to prepare our students to pass the US Medical Licensing Examination that are required to graduate.
A hybrid form of the problem based curriculum will be used, including didactic lectures and full regular assessments. Frequent feed back is the key to success and will be the order of the day.
Integration of subjects with a view to clinical application and reasoning is the goal in mind to meet the needs of today’s students and cater for the demands of tomorrow’s patients. Learning by doing (hands-on) means SOLVING PROBLEMS, but it does not mean NOT THINKING.
Learning occurs best in a non stressful environment.
Regular visiting faculty who are currently teaching at United States Medical Schools will have regular discussions and input to achieve the goals in mind.
Introduction to clinical material and patient examinations will be introduced from the outset, including hospital visits and live patient presentation.
Every effort will be taken to prepare our students to achieve the best possible grades on all steps of the USMLE examinations
Learning does not stop at graduation. Therefore, we shall train students to learn continuously throughout their careers.
The curriculum will be reviewed on a regular basis, in order to maintain up-to-date standard and achieve the highest possible quality of education.
